Indie Greenlight — for independent filmmakers
Your film on real screens, in real towns — without betting your savings on it.
Tour your finished film through independent theaters nationwide with zero upfront cost: shows only happen once the audience has already bought in, and you get paid on every one.

We made an indie film called Abductee. Our distributor offered streaming only — “too hard to book enough theaters to make theatrical profitable.” So we got in the car and proved them wrong, booking indie theaters by hand, one phone call at a time, profitably. Theaters asked for more films like ours. Audiences asked how to find showings like ours. Indie Greenlight exists so the next filmmaker doesn't need to make five hundred phone calls.

How it works for you
- 1
Your film gets its own page
yourfilm.indiegreenlight.com — with your trailer, tour calendar, tickets, merch, and socials. You fill in one form; we build it.
- 2
Audiences find you before a single show exists
Moviegoers browse films and tap “I'd watch that” on anything they'd see near them. Those taps build a live map of exactly where your audience is — and when enough interest piles up in one area, we take it to a theater: “150 people near you want this film.”
- 3
Shows are confirmed before anyone risks anything
A showing is listed; moviegoers reserve seats free, and cards are only charged once enough people have reserved to make the night real. Each theater posts its own terms up front — you see the deal before you accept, and you're always free to decline. You never rent a screen. You never write a check and hope.
- 4
Your marketing makes itself
Every showing comes with ready-made social posts built from your own artwork — in your voice, your audience's, and the theater's — each stamped with a QR code straight to your page, so a glance at a phone, flyer, or pre-show screen becomes a vote or a reservation. A simple posting schedule tells you what to share when, from first announcement to last-call.
- 5
Need a DCP? We won't gouge you for it
Every theater's profile shows whether they need one. If they do: we'll teach you to make one yourself, free (we've done it ourselves, many times) — or our automated service makes one at a fair flat rate you can roll into your first payout. Either way, you own it forever.
- 6
Show night, from your living room
We deliver the film and test-play it before the date. You appear live on screen for the Q&A. A code on screen at the start offers the audience 10% off your merch — printed and shipped on demand, nothing for you to box or mail — and walk-ins buy via QR at the door, so every seat counts in your numbers.
- 7
You get paid, and you get proof
Your share within days, handled by an impartial processor — we never touch your money. And at tour's end: a verified report of real tickets, real cities, real audience scores, real merch engagement. When a streaming buyer says “unproven film,” you hand them the document that says otherwise.
What it costs you
Nothing up front. Ever. We take a small, clearly stated share only after you've been paid: 10% of the ticket sales — a traditional distributor would charge you far more for far less.
One more thing
Made shorts too? We're building greenlit short-film blocks — a curated group of short films sharing one theatrical night. The first real answer to “how does a short film make money.”
